Three years ago I began creating 3D sugar flowers in orchids after a class I took online. This mushroomed into a lot of classes, a lot of flowers, and a need for someplace to go with those amazing flowers. I have been adamant that the cake equal in taste and quality to the beauty of the flowers I create and a love triangle began between cake, flowers, and myself. I am able to work with any medium, creating art quality designs in dessert. Those skills also include isolmalt, hot sugar, spun sugar, chocolate, and raised sugar structures as well as all kinds of sugar flowers!
Sugar flowers alone, and sugar art alone are available through custom design commissions and I'm happy to discuss any and all of your entertainments plans with regards to sugar art whether for dessert, decorative items, or both!
Tasked to match the colors and style of the brides dress, I brought in peonies, leaves, berries, a fantasy flower in the style of stephanotis, edible lace, and piped buttercream vanilla bean roses. All of these elements adorn a champagne cake filled with more vanilla bean cream cheese icing!
Demitasse of Fern
Sugar fashioned into a demitasse style cup and saucer are ornamented with an overlay of fronds of fern. A flower perched on lip of cup serves as a dainty ornamental cup handle! Precious on a cake as a topper or as an ornamental addition to a sweets display filled with candies or tiny sugar flowers!
A Cup of Daisies!
A teacup and saucer fashioned of sugar support a lovely collection of flowers made of sugar. Primarily the cup is filled with Gerbera Daisies but I slipped in an orchid and some leaves as well!
Gingerbread Christmas Muffins
Gingerbread Muffins are lovely year around but especially during the holiday season. The warmth of the combined spices chase away the cold and wrap the palette and the heart in a flannel blanket of memories of special times. Secret recipe. These muffins have a moist perfect crumb topped with a bit of sanding sugar for a light crunch on top. Not a sugary muffin...but full of an elegant blend of spices. No nuts in these...but can be added if you wish. Also a sugar glaze may be added on request!
Cocoa French Macarons
Deep chocolate French Macaron shells are filled with Bittersweet chocolate ganache. Tops may be left plain, accented with espresso powder, or cocoa nibs (not shown).
Vanilla Bean Roses Cake - any flavor
On my menu page this cake is listed as Red Velvet Cake. I've actually done this cake in Champagne, Strawberry, Chocolate, and Lavender cake with this luscious cream cheese butter cream piped frosting in roses. I'll even create a special flavor for you on request! It's been a favorite for birthdays and tiered into wedding cakes! You'll love this one!
Mocha cake and Mocha Amaretto Swiss meringue butter cream frosting are paired with fresh strawberries for a delectable gift worthy cake. Especially developed for my friend Page as a birthday gift, this has become one of my favorites to create!
Cappuccino French Macarons
Cappuccino French Macarons filled with bittersweet chocolate buttercream! Tiny grains of cappuccino powder dust the tops. The Macarons are sweet and a very nice contrast with the bittersweet Ghirardelli chocolate buttercream centers!
Strawberry French Macarons with fresh strawberry butter cream and Lemon Macarons with a wonderfully tart lemon/vanilla bean butter cream! I make my macarons slightly larger than average. Consult me for flavors. I make all of the usual flavors but will be happy to invent special flavors for you!
Butterflies of Poured Hot Sugar
Topaz and black hot sugar have been employed here to create fuax glass ornaments for cake. They look like glass but are edible and I can even flavor them! They made of zero calorie beet sugar! Lovely ornaments as additions to cakes, sugar floral arrangements! Any number of applications...and colors may be customized!
Ballerina en Pointe'
This cake may be created in any size and flavor of cake and frosting. A lovely fondant overlay is accented with ornamental trim, roses, a butterfly, and ballerina shoes made of sugar. Ribbons may be added as well. Colors are optional!
Alabaster Blown Sugar Fruit
I love working with hot sugar called Isomalt. Many different techniques may be employed to create sugar art in this medium. I've blown a pear fruit in an alabaster mixed white and clear sugar, added leaves, and created a piece of sugar art that may be used on top of a cake, at the side as an ornamental accent, or combined with other pieces to create a table centerpiece for a special occasion. I love creating this type of art in sugar and welcome commissions to design in this free form style.
Art Deco and Lace
Triple layer of your favorite cake and frosting flavor cloaked in black fondant and ornamented with gold lace in flowers, leaves and trim. Exotic and showy. Lots of drama and glamor in this one!
Graduation Cake with Chocolate Piano
Created for a very special graduate. Excepted to Julliard and joined the Marines. All of this young man's special connections are displayed here including musical instruments cast in dark chocolate and Marine emblems cast in white chocolate. Highlights of edible gold bring out textures and accents. Even the grand piano topper is custom molded chocolate.
French Chocolate Hazlenut Entremet
A solid hemisphere of dark chocolate has been filled and layered with chocolate mousse, creme brulee', and toasted hazelnut dacquiose. Frozen and the flocked with a velvety cover of dark chcolate...this dessert comes out of the freezer an hour before serving. Pure decadence.
Wedding Caked -Custom ordered
The bride provided her own topper. All else has been hand crafted and designed by me. An original cake design of champagne cake, cream cheese vanilla bean frosing, and large bouquets of individually created flowers.
White Christmas - Forest of Trees
Sugar cones have been coated in white chocolate and then piped with textures to emulate Christmas trees. The one with colored lights is decorated with candy coated sunflower seeds. These may be prepared as simple edible dessert treats or more elaborately filled with mousse and served as a cold dessert!

Gingerbread cookies average three inches are ornamented with covers and trims of red/white chocolate based fondant and mocha fondant. Gorgeous holiday treats and truly delicious! Prepared by special request.
Everything you see in this photo is edible. Cakes, flowers, bows, ect...completely edible!! Mistletoe, holly, pine cones with pine, poinsettia, and even bows made of flavored sugar free gelatin are a delicious treat!
Art Sugar on Cake
Isomalt flowers of abstract design resemble art glass in this display of sugar technique. The flowers may ornament a cake as seen here, or develop into a table arrangement for a special occasion!
Dome cakes are some of my favorite styles of cake to create. I love the smooth long curves and the ability to add textures and shapes that are architecturally interesting. The cake may be created in any flavor with any combination of frosting. The entire cake is cloaked in a gorgeous chocolate based red fondant. Berries have been created with that same chocolate based fondant and treated with patisserie lacquer for a high shine. The raspberry flavored poinsettia is sugar free and highlighted.
This trio display of domed cakes shares several different varieties of decorative treatments. All are fondant over cake with buttercream frosting. These can really be done in any variety of colors, pearls, textures...the sky is the limit to what theme these may speak to.
Elegant Rose Smash Cake
I created this design for my granddaughter Lilly for her first birthday. It's lovely as a smash cake. It would also make a lovely special treat for any special occasion for a loved one. Cake and frosting choices are open. Fondant rose petals and leaves are created for this delicate finish!
Lemon Curd Cake with Orchids
A lemon cake, frosted with fresh lemon curd filling is covered in a cloak of pale yellow fondant and ornamented with four different types of orchids, honey suckle, and tiny yellow mums. Ornamental trim is also created with fondant and this cake is splendid as a formal celebration!
Trailing Flower Garden
Champagne Cake and cream cheese butter cream frosting create an elegant finish for fine dining. The pink roses are made of fresh strawberry butter cream as an additional surprise in the floral and leaves piped butter cream top.

Special orders for Grad cakes are wonderful for me. I customize these cakes with School logos, special themes related to the individual graduate, and make each cake a personalized and memorable event.
Floral Garden Cake
A large crescent spray of hand made flowers and a poured sugar butterfly ornament this lovely fondant covered cake. The birthday lady's name goes on a plaquette, and hand made flowers are liberally and randomly scattered over the cake with tiny pearl dragee centers.
Baby Shower Cake
Custom ordered Baby Shower cake was a special family event and I was thrilled to design this cake. The elephant, flowers, and streamers of lace add lots of dimension and softness.

Solar System Cake
This presents as fresh strawberry cake with a butter cream frosting and Fondant covering. The cake may be any flavor you wish. Solar system ornamentation is all hand painted and created. Space Ice of poured hot sugar work is sculpted to appear as a large space ice structure jutting from the top of the cake. I can do a more angular style of ice structure but recommend against that as a safety precaution. Double layer cake serves 12-15 depending on how you slice it.
Baby Girl Birthday
Any flavor of cake and buttercream frosting may be used here. Pink Fondant covering, edible lace, hand made flowers of sugar, and a satin fondant dress all ornament this precious cake. A white chocolate medallion delivers a Happy Birthday message near the sugar flower arrangement. Double layer 8 inch cake serves 10-15 depending on how you slice it.

A Blue Egyptian Water Lily of sugar rests in a nest of leaves beside a poured sugar faux water feature in this little display cake. A faux water feature may be designed and added in several different ways to add visual excitement to a confection!
Cages of Light
Different types of scroll work may be used to create light accents on your presentations! These take a lot of work and must be order at least one month in advance.
I have a variety of specialty molds that offer opportunities to bring hollow sugar art to the playing field as ornamentation in a dessert design! This little Buddha is a hollow sugar form.
